Venison Quickie

The pond crisis is contained with a plan in place.
Three months of finances have been restored.
My stomach is behaving.
Time to get back in the kitchen!

I realized there wasn't much in the house, but there's always something to work with
if you have imagination, right? I found some leftover green beans and a container
of cherry tomatoes. I thought... Hmmm, okay that takes care of color in
presentation... let's build something simple around that!
I love meals that take less than thirty minutes ;-)

  • 1 lb ground venison or lean beef
  • leftover green beans or other vegetable
  • 1 onion cut up
  • handful of cherry tomatoes
  • some light olive oil
The beans are already cooked and the tomatoes just need warming, so this is really fast. Sautee the onion to desired tenderness... I personally like to retain a little crunch just to make things interesting. Set the onions aside. Fry up the meat (same pan) in just a little bit of oil. Add the onions, beans and tomatoes and gently blend over medium heat until everything is warm. Season with MAYBE a little salt and pepper. Taste it first, though. These are all ingredients that pack plenty of great flavor combos on their own :-)
